Job summary

Amazon Development Centre Ireland Limited is seeking a Water Treatment Engineer to influence water chemistry and treatment for AWS data centers globally. You will coordinate with design engineering, construction, operations, and maintenance to define and document water treatment features, ensuring safety and uninterrupted data center operations.

The role focuses on scalable water system design across international sites, working with internal and external teams to improve water system standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical/Process or Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Experience in water quality and chemical treatment in design/construction contexts.
• Experience with water mass balances for site and campus infrastructures.
• Knowledge of water treatment technologies (pH control, filtration, disinfection).

Responsibilities

• Drive improvement of design standards and project approaches globally.
• Review concept designs with third-party vendors to meet AHJ requirements.
• Provide high quality water treatment advice across projects and align with mechanical teams.
• Coordinate with construction, commissioning, and risk teams for RFIs and value engineering.
• Ensure code compliance, design and installation standards, water supply evaluation and testing.
• Travel up to 25% as required.
