Job summary

FedEx in Ireland is seeking a Clearance Broker to join the Customs Clearance team. You will review shipments data, create clearance declarations, and liaise with customers and government agencies to ensure regulatory compliance and timely processing.

The role requires strong attention to detail, good communication, and the ability to work within tight timelines in a busy office. 39-hour weeks, Monday to Friday, with an unpaid lunch break.

Qualifications

• Good teamwork and ability to contribute to team performance in a busy office.
• Experience or knowledge of clearance principles, Import/Export processes and regulatory requirements, CHIEF entries and flights processing desired.
• Customer focused with excellent communication skills.
• Attention to detail and the ability to make sound numerical decisions within tight time deadlines.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good Microsoft Office and PC skills.

Responsibilities

• Review shipments data to understand the exact customer and regulatory requirements and checking the accuracy and completeness of documentation supplied
• Using in-house systems to create accurate and legally compliant clearance declarations
• Contacting customers or government agencies to clarify information when needed
• Resolving routine customer and customs disputes
• Building effective relationships with our customers and helping them to choose the best suited clearance services
• Working within tight time frames in a busy office environment
