About the job

The Cash and Accounts Receivable Management (CARMA) team manages Google's Order to Cash processes globally across all product areas, including Ads, Cloud and Hardware. We ensure Google’s revenues are transformed to cash in an efficient, controlled and compliant manner. Our team powers Google's ambitious growth agenda by creating innovative ways to manage our complex set of billing and payment transactions, making processes more efficient and scalable, minimizing operational risk, integrating Google acquisitions and new products, connecting with new payment and invoicing partners and so much more!

Within CARMA, the Global Credit team is responsible for managing Google’s global credit risk exposure across all product areas such as Ads, Hardware and Cloud and opines upon revenue recognition rules within the context of contracted deals in Cloud. This involves evaluating a customer's ability and capacity to pay for goods and services purchased, minimizing losses due to defaults while also supporting Google’s revenue growth in a responsible manner.
As a Portfolio Manager, you will have a primary focus on managing a portfolio of customers globally, across a number of products and be a key decision maker. This requires working collaboratively with Sales, other Finance areas and the BPO vendor team, to make the best decisions for Google, balancing risk and reward. You will understand the key trends within your portfolio and how the macro economic environment impacts Google’s credit risk. You will also play a key role in the evolving journey of shifting towards an AI-first approach to managing credit risk.

The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Collections, and broader Finance teams to deliver credit processes and seamless commercial enablement.
  • Coordinate credit operations with third-party vendors for enhanced scalability, while implementing modern global systems and processes through an AI-first lens.
