Google LLC in Dublin, Ireland is seeking a Global Category Manager, Mechanical, Data Center Equipment to lead procurement for critical data center hardware. You’ll collaborate with Engineering and Global Supply Chain to optimize total cost of ownership across a growing infrastructure fleet.

The role emphasizes strategic sourcing, supplier development, and cross-functional negotiations to ensure timely delivery and scalable execution.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in a technical or engineering field or equivalent practical experience.
• 7 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management.
• Experience in the data center equipment category or commodity management, contract negotiation and supplier development.

Mansioni

• Develop and execute commodity strategies through close collaboration with Google engineering and commodity teams.
• Conduct detailed agreement negotiations including comprehensive contractual agreements and ensure capacity planning and supply-chain strategies are implemented to meet on time delivery.
• Drive RFP/RFI/RFQ processes and lead cross-functional teams with the supplier selection process.
• Serve as internal point-of-contact for remediation and quality improvement programs, and define multi-year R&D efforts, implement supply chain and supplier base improvements.
• Implement supply chain improvements, drive supplier metrics and regular business reviews.

ESC partners with Data Center Engineering and Construction teams to make sure Google has the supplies and equipment to put into production the products coming from the Engineering teams.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
