Job summary

Google is seeking a Global Category Manager for Data Centers to define and execute strategic sourcing for data center infrastructure equipment and supplier management. You will leverage industry knowledge and supplier relationships to optimize total cost of ownership for Google's global infrastructure.

The role emphasizes collaboration with engineering, operations, finance and quality teams to drive cost, lead time and capacity objectives across a hyperscale environment, with equity and bonus

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management.
  • 4 years of experience in sourcing, negotiating agreements, and supplier development.
  • Experience in commodity management.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver sourcing and supply chain objectives for products in the data center infrastructure space.
  • Develop and execute category strategies to achieve total cost of ownership, lead time, capacity, innovation and quality objectives for the products managed through close collaboration with Google cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, operations, finance, etc.).
  • Conduct complex strategic technology discussions, including comprehensive contractual agreements to deliver cost, lead time and capacity objectives for the organization.
  • Implement supply chain, inventory and process improvements through supplier performance metrics, scorecards, business continuity plans and regular business reviews.
