Job summary

Clear. is supporting a leading global organisation in the data centre sector. This Senior Controls/BMS Manager role drives commissioning excellence across large-scale infrastructure projects globally and leads commissioning teams to ensure safe, on-time delivery.

The position requires a strong engineering background, 10+ years in commissioning/controls, and proven leadership within a matrix environment. Excellent knowledge of BMS/SCADA systems and safety procedures is essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Control Systems, Mechatronics) preferred.
• 10+ years of commissioning and/or controls engineering experience in complex infra environments.
• Strong background in data centres or mission-critical facilities is highly desirable.
• Experience leading commissioning teams in a matrix/multi-stakeholder setting.
• Project delivery from planning through commissioning and handover.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support global controls commissioning across multiple live projects.
• Develop and implement standardised commissioning strategies from planning to handover (L0-L6).
• Act as subject matter expert for BMS / BAS / EPMS / PLC / SCADA systems.
• Ensure alignment of design intent with operational performance requirements.
• Oversee systems integration across mechanical and electrical plant and equipment.
• Drive commissioning planning, scheduling, sequencing, and tag management.
• Lead technical validation workshops and system completion planning sessions.
• Ensure strict adherence to safety systems including PTW, SSOW, and LOTO.
• Manage OFCI / CFCI vendor and contractor interfaces across complex delivery environments.
• Develop and review commissioning documentation, test scripts, and procedures.
• Oversee loop checks, point-to-point testing, functional testing, and system start-up.
• Manage punch lists, defect resolution, and structured close-out processes.
• Support QA/QC teams to ensure quality-led commissioning delivery and minimal rework.
• Drive data-led decision making using completion and commissioning tracking systems.
• Identify and mitigate risks across commissioning execution and system handover.
• Provide leadership to commissioning teams and underperforming stakeholders where required.
