Job summary

Jobtailor in Ireland is seeking a senior Automation Standards Lead to develop and govern global automation standards across PAS platforms including DeltaV, PCS-7 and Wonderware. You will champion standardization, drive cross-functional initiatives, and guide architecture decisions for OT networks in GMP environments.

The role requires a strong background in industrial automation, ISA S95/S88, and cGMP regulatory knowledge, with proven leadership and stakeholder management across global teams.

Qualifications

• BS. Degree in Engineering, Science or related discipline.
• 12+ years manufacturing experience, including 10+ in Automation/OT/IT in GMP environment.
• Proven track record leading cross-functional teams and global automation initiatives.
• Knowledge of ISA S95 and S88 standards and their application.
• Familiarity with cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11 and EU GMP Annex 11 in FDA environments.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• English proficiency; additional Dutch/Spanish/Italian/German is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop global Automation Standards across PAS platforms (DeltaV, PCS-7, Wonderware) and across sites worldwide.
• Promote robust design standards and standardization where value is added.
• Implement standards across manufacturing network as standards champion.
• Own governance of automation standards and gatekeeping for library changes.
• Monitor adherence and identify improvement opportunities.
• Oversee automation libraries, recipe management, process control, and data historian activities for batch production, testing and release.
• Develop and maintain roadmaps for current and future PAS aligned with standards.
• Provide input for Automation architecture/OT network infrastructure (Level 2.5).
• Shape plant technology strategies and plans.
• Ensure uptime, reliability, and cost-effectiveness of platform environments.
• Support continuous improvement across all PAS platforms.
• Collaborate with Automation Leads across sites and share best practices.
• Identify harmonization opportunities and avoid duplication.
• Engage with industry experts to bring cutting-edge solutions.
