We are looking for a full‑time Geo‑Environmental Consultant to join our team in Dublin (hybrid).
The Geoscience services within the RSK Group are one of the UK and Ireland’s largest geotechnical, contaminated land and hydrogeological consultancies with ambitious plans for growth. We work across a wide portfolio of clients in marine, industry, construction, energy and property.
Key Responsibilities
- Running and/or supporting Phase I & II geo‑environmental ground investigations for all scales of projects and types of sites with senior support as necessary.
- Undertaking site works using a variety of intrusive investigation methods.
- Groundwater, surface water and ground gas sampling to relevant standards.
- Soil logging to current standards, including laboratory scheduling.
- Incident response visits and associated reporting.
- Undertaking Preliminary Risk Assessments/Preliminary Site Assessments (Phase 1 Desk Studies).
- Drafting of Generic Quantitative Risk Assessments.
- Supporting and co‑ordinating a variety of projects.
- Maintaining and developing technical capability through Continuing Professional Development (CPD).
Person Specification
- BSc degree level qualified in Geology or a related environmental subject.
- MSc in Geology, Hydrogeology or Contaminated Land related subject preferable but not essential.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Good understanding of laboratory testing and interpreting results.
- Experience undertaking groundwater monitoring programmes and a good understanding of sampling techniques.
- Good understanding of environmental guidance and legislation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Prepared to work as part of a team or independently.
- Candidates must be willing to spend a significant amount of their working day out on site and away from home.
- Full clean driving licence.
