Job summary

Banada Health is a busy, friendly general practice delivering high-quality primary care to our local community. We are looking for a part-time Practice Nurse to join our supportive team and help provide a wide range of clinical services to patients of all ages, working closely with our GPs and staff to ensure high standards of care.

Key duties include chronic disease management, wound care, immunisations, cervical screening, phlebotomy, ECGs and spirometry, health checks and patient records.

Qualifications

• Must be an NMBI-registered General Nurse.
• Experience in general practice or primary care preferred.
• Post-registration training in immunisation and phlebotomy is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, asthma, COPD, cardiovascular health).
• Wound care, dressings and suture removal.
• Vaccinations and immunisations (childhood, travel, flu, etc.).
• Cervical screening (CervicalCheck trained/willing to train).
• Phlebotomy and routine bloods.
• ECGs, spirometry and other diagnostic tests.
• Health checks, screening and lifestyle advice.
• Ear syringing, injections and minor procedures.
• Maintain accurate patient records in line with GDPR and best practice.
• Support infection control and health and safety standards.

About the Role

As our Practice Nurse, you'll play a key role in delivering a wide range of clinical services to patients of all ages, working closely with our GPs and administrative staff to ensure smooth, high-standard care.

What We're Looking For

• NMBI-registered General Nurse
• Previous experience in general practice, community, or primary care preferred
• Up-to-date clinical skills; relevant post-registration training (e.g. immunisation, phlebotomy) an advantage
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• A caring, patient-focused approach
