Job summary

Electric Skyline Ltd in Galway region is seeking a general operative to support our Electricians on a range of projects. You will carry out operational duties to ensure safe and efficient work, maintain equipment, handle materials, and assist with quality of work.

A C License is required for this position. Previous experience in electrical field and on public roads with traffic management is advantageous. You will work on site with health and safety at the forefront.

Qualifications

• C License is required for this position.
• Experience as a general operative, ideally in an electrical field.
• Experience working on public roads and with traffic management is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Attend various jobs and projects with our Electricians.
• Supporting the Electrician with key tasks for their role ensuring health and safety at all times.
• Meeting key business targets and deadlines
• Communicating and working effectively with work crews to deliver job requirements ensuring that the project is delivered in accordance with agreed specifications, standards, health, & safety plans, and method statements.
• Identifying work improvement opportunities and solutions, reporting same to Project Manager.
• Operating vehicles and machinery in line with Health and Safety requirements.
• Conducting regular checks on machinery and equipment, clean tools, and carry out basic maintenance tasks when necessary
• Installing New PLC Cables through ducts.
• Standing new PLC columns with Hiab.
• Replacing damaged PLC columns.
• General tidy up work around sites.
• Painting PLC columns and general Upkeep.
• Assist in general Housekeeping of the Stores

Job Summary

Reporting to the Project Manager for Galway region, this a is a key role to support our Electricians on various projects.

Experience

• Previous experience working as a general operative, ideally in an electrical field.
