Job summary

Arthur Mallon Foods in Monaghan is seeking General Operatives for our Meat Prep area in Production. You will perform meat processing tasks, input data, and operate mincing and chopping equipment while maintaining high safety and hygiene standards.

We value a willingness to cover evening shifts, basic English, and physical capability to move up to 25kg. Training and development are provided in our state‑of‑the‑art facilities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in meat preparation or related field preferred but not essential.
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to move product of up to 25kgs around a chilled production facility.
• Basic spoken and written English to assist good communication skills and teamwork.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• De-boxing meat and assisting in meat preparation tasks.
• Inputting of data and recording production details.
• Operating mincing and chopping equipment as directed.
• Adhering to safety and hygiene standards at all times.
• Working with the production team to meet targets and maintain product quality.

People are at the heart of our team, and we are seeking General Operatives to join our friendly and supportive team in our state-of-the-art centre of excellence.
We are seeking Operatives to carry out duties within our Meat Prep area in Production to supply to customers with a product of high quality which is both safe and meets legal standards.

The Role

To carry out various tasks related to meat processing to include:

• De- boxing meat
• Formulation of recipes
• Inputting of data
• Operation of mincing and chopping equipment
• Adhering to safety and hygiene standards.
• Working alongside our production team to meet production goals/targets and maintain product quality.

The Person:

• Previous experience in meat preparation or a related field is preferred but not essential
• Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to move product of up to 25kgs around a chilled production facility
• Basic spoken and written English to assist good communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
• Basic computer skills
• Flexibility with working hours and willingness to provide cover for our evening shift as required is essential
