Excel Recruitment are currently recruiting General Operatives for a busy event in Tullamore. This is a fast-paced role suited to reliable and hardworking individuals who can work well as part of a team and adapt to varying shift patterns.

Event: National Ploughing Championships 2026. Location: Screggan, Tullamore, Co. Offaly. Dates: 18th September 2026. Contract Type: Temporary / 1-day. This is a 1-day temporary position requiring availability from 10am onward.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or over.
• Temp role for 1 day, available on 18th September from 10am onward.
• Reliable, punctual, and accountable – event operations run on a strict schedule.
• Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods.
• Ability to stand and walk for long shifts (typically 8 hours).

• Strong communication skills – confident interacting with large crowds and following instructions.
• Own transport or ability to commute reliably to Screggan, Tullamore (public transport options are limited due to the rural location).

Desirable (but not essential):

• Previous experience in Customer service, Gen Op, Events, Retail.
• Local to the Midlands area (Offaly, Laois, Westmeath)
