Job summary

Tirlán is seeking motivated General Operatives to join the Kilkenny Chilled Foods Plant during the busiest production season. This 6-month contract runs from September 2026 to March 2027, with 40 hours per week across a rotating days, evenings and nights pattern, based at Thomas Street, Kilkenny City.

You will support daily production, follow CCP and safety procedures, maintain hygiene, and complete CIP when required.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing or food production environment.
• Manual Handling certification desirable.
• Forklift licence/certification advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Support daily production activities within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.
• Follow food safety and quality procedures, including CCP requirements.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping and plant hygiene.
• Complete Cleaning-in-Place (CIP) processes when required.

We're currently seeking motivated and dependable General Operatives to join our team at our Chilled Foods Plant in Kilkenny City (Kilkenny Food Company) during our busiest production season.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain valuable manufacturing experience, work as part of a supportive team, and contribute to the production of high-quality food products.

What You'll Be Doing

As a General Operative, you'll play an important role in ensuring our products are produced safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. Here, you'll:

• Supportdaily production activities within a fast-paced food manufacturing environment
• Followfood safety and quality procedures, including Critical Control Point (CCP) requirements
• Maintainhigh standards of housekeeping and plant hygiene
• CompleteCleaning-in-Place (CIP) processes where required
• Adhereto all health, safety and environmental procedures

• Workcollaboratively with colleagues to achieve production targets
