Job summary

State Street is seeking an AVP, GCS Cloud/Data/AI Solution Architect to design scalable, secure architectures across AWS, data platforms, and AI domains. You will shape GenAI patterns, RAG workflows, and orchestration while partnering with engineering, cybersecurity, and risk teams.

In this role, you will translate business and data requirements into practical designs, drive reference architectures, and guide implementation from architecture to delivery, ensuring governance and secure-by-design

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in a relevant field.
• Mid-level experience designing or delivering cloud, data, analytics, cybersecurity, or AI-enabled solutions in an enterprise.
• Strong knowledge of AWS architecture concepts, including cloud-native services, networking, security, data services, and integration.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end architectures integrating AWS, data platforms, AI capabilities, and security controls.
• Translate requirements into architecture patterns, roadmaps, and implementation guidance.
• Develop GenAI and LLM-enabled product approaches including RAG, prompts, retrieval, and agentic workflows.
• Collaborate with data engineering to design scalable ingestion, governance, lineage, and consumption patterns.
• Embed secure-by-design principles and access controls into solution designs and governance practices.
• Create architecture artifacts such as diagrams, data flows, and decision records for stakeholders.
• Evaluate options, balance cost, resiliency, and time-to-value in architecture decisions.
• Support delivery teams through design reviews, POC development, and transition to engineering.
