Job summary

We are seeking a hands-on Gen AI Engineer to join a leading financial services AI engineering team on a 12-month contract. You will develop LLM/Gen AI applications, build Python APIs and deploy AI/machine learning solutions across AWS, using a modern tech stack.

The role requires strong Python, API development, SQL and data-engineering fundamentals, plus hands-on Gen AI/LLM experience. Key duties include RAG solutions, model fine-tuning and deployment, data pipelines with Snowflake and

Qualifications

3+ years' experience across AI/ML or software engineering.
Strong Python and API development skills.
Hands-on Gen AI / LLM experience.
Experience deploying solutions in AWS.
Strong SQL and data engineering fundamentals.
Experience with Java, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch or Solr would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

Develop Gen AI applications, including RAG solutions.
Prompt engineering, fine-tuning and model optimisation.
Build Python-based APIs using FastAPI, Flask or similar.
Deploy AI/ML solutions across AWS, including SageMaker, EKS and EC2.
Develop data pipelines and work with Snowflake, PostgreSQL, Airflow and SQL.
Support infrastructure automation using Terraform, CloudFormation or Ansible.
Work with LangChain, LlamaIndex or similar LLM frameworks.
Collaborate with engineering, data and product teams to productionize AI solutions.
