Analog Devices, a global semiconductor leader, seeks a Gas & Chemicals engineer to support its Limerick facility. The role provides engineering expertise to operations and maintenance, with design oversight for Gas & Chemical storage, delivery and treatment systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical guidance for operating, maintaining and repairing all facilities Gas & Chemical systems.
• Evaluate site Gas & Chemical systems and develop a roadmap with redundancy and failure analysis for 24/7 operations.
• Review existing Gas & Chemical systems and recommend improvements to conserve resources.
• Collaborate with global ADI facilities teams to share best practices for sustainability.
• Prepare plans, schedules and cost estimates.
• Prepare purchase requisitions, ROI calculations and executive summaries.
• Submit proposals and coordinate contractors.
• Prepare snag lists and ensure timely completion of work.
• Prepare Planning permit applications and compliance reports.
• Maintain Gas & Chemical drawings and documents to reflect as-built conditions.
• Own changes/incidents from start to finish and drive root-cause analyses.

ADI is looking for a Gas & Chemicals engineer to support our Facilities team at our semiconductor manufacturing site in Limerick, IE. Successful candidate will provide engineering expertise to operations and maintenance team as well as design and project oversight for a multitude of facilities systems and projects for Bulk & Special Gas & Chemical Storage, Delivery & Treatment/Removal on our semiconductor manufacturing site in Limerick IE. The successful candidate will also offer support to Gas & Chemical systems supporting leading edge technology development and would also get opportunities in other disciplines beyond core Gas & Chemistry responsibilities.

Job Description:

Responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:

• Provide technical guidance for operating, maintaining and repairing all facilities Gas & Chemical systems
• Evaluate site Gas & Chemical systems and develop a roadmap by incorporating failure analysis, redundancy, and elimination of single points of failure to support 24/7 mission critical operations
• Review existing Gas & Chemical systems and recommend improvement to conserve natural resources.
• Collaborate with ADI facilities team members across the world to share best practices to enhance sustainability
• Prepare plans, schedules and cost estimates
• Prepare purchase requisitions, ROI calculations, and executive summaries
• Submit proposals
• Coordinate contractors
• Prepare snag lists and ensure contractors complete all work on schedule
• Prepare Planning permit applications and reports as required for compliance with all applicable laws
• Maintain Gas & Chemical systems drawings and documents to match as-built conditions
• Ownership of all changes/events/incidents/problems from beginning to end as well as overseeing the completion of root cause analysis and follow up resolution actions.
• Ensure standardization and consistency with best in class operating procedures.
• Respond to Site Emergencies.

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical / Mechanical engineering
• 2-3 years of field or design experience required
• Good computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in ACAD, Pipe Flow, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
• Must have good people skills, be able to multi-task and enjoy working in a fast-paced, fluid environment
• Must be quality and safety oriented and able to work with minimal supervision
• Must be self-motivated, team oriented, and “hands-on”.
• Must be safety and quality orientated.
• Excellent organisational and planning skills.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
• 0-5% Travel
