Job summary

SGS Ireland is seeking an Electrical & Instrumentation Apprentice to support instrumentation services and calibrations within SGS GAS. The role combines hands‑on training with SOLAS college programmes, enabling progression toward a Level 6 craftsperson.

You will assist with gas testing, installation, commissioning, calibration, and documentation while gaining experience across regulated environments and quality management systems.

Qualifications

• Junior Certificate completed with five subjects.
• Approved Pre-Apprenticeship or equivalent required.
• Three years’ relevant industry experience is expected.

Responsibilities

• Support on‑site instrumentation service and calibration activities.
• Assist installation, commissioning and maintenance of electrical systems.
• Prepare calibration certificates and service records.
• Learn measurement principles including pressure, flow, temperature and level.
