Job summary

MOTOR DISTRIBUTORS LTD in Ireland is seeking a field service technician to install, commission and service tyre and workshop equipment. You will diagnose faults, perform preventive maintenance, and travel to customer sites to resolve issues.

The ideal candidate has mechanical/electrical/automotive engineering experience, strong diagnostic skills, and a commitment to safety. A company vehicle and ongoing training are provided.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, service, and repair tyre and workshop equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.
• Carry out preventative maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Attend customer sites to investigate and resolve breakdowns.
• Ensure equipment is installed and maintained per manufacturer and safety standards.
• Provide customers with technical advice and guidance on operation.
• Complete service reports and necessary documentation.
• Work safely and professionally at all times.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers and internal teams to complete jobs efficiently.
• Keep up to date with new equipment, technologies and industry standards.

Job description

• Install, commission, service, and repair tyre , garage and workshop equipment.


• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults.


• Carry out preventative maintenance and equipment inspections.


• Attend customer sites to investigate and resolve equipment breakdowns.


• Ensure equipment is installed and maintained in accordance with manufacturer and safety requirements.


• Provide customers with technical advice and guidance on equipment operation.


• Complete service reports, maintenance records, and other required documentation.


• Work safely and professionally at all times.


• Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure jobs are completed efficiently.


• Keep up to date with new equipment, technologies, and relevant industry standards.
