Darwin Hawkins is seeking a Fund Controller in Dublin to oversee books and records, month-end close, reconciliations and financial reporting for a diversified investment portfolio. The role offers exposure to complex structures and interaction with external auditors and fund administrators.

You will join an established Fund Accounting function, focusing on process improvement, controls, and cross‑team collaboration within Finance, Middle Office and Investor Relations.

Qualifikationen

• 3+ years' experience within Fund Accounting, Funds Audit or a related Accounting/Finance position.
• Strong accounting fundamentals and experience with month-end close, journals and reconciliations.
• Experience within Hedge Funds, Investment Management or alternative investment structures would be highly advantageous.
• Exposure to investment products such as equities, fixed income, commodities and/or derivatives.
• Strong analytical skills with experience investigating accounting movements and variances.
• Experience working with or reviewing the output of Fund Administrators would be advantageous.
• Financial statement and audit exposure.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to operate in a fast-paced environment.
• Big 4 / Top 10 Funds Audit experience would be particularly relevant.

Aufgaben

• Complete month-end close processes, producing journal entries and reconciliations.
• Perform monthly, quarterly and annually variance analysis.
• Analyse activity across a range of investment products.
• Support the external Fund Administrator on a monthly basis and auditors annually.
• Work closely with Middle Office, Operations, Investor Relations and the wider Finance function.
• Contribute to management reporting and projects focused on strengthening processes, procedures and controls.
