Job summary

HS Financial Technologies is seeking a Fund Accountant to support fund accounting or NAV activities. You will perform NAV calculations, reconciliations, and processing of corporate actions under supervision, with induction and mandatory AML/KYC training provided.

You will work within a team, handle deadlines, and participate in audits. The role offers remote/hybrid options with a supportive benefits culture.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in a fund accounting or NAV environment.
• Accounting, Finance, Legal or Business degree.
• Intention to actively pursue a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CPA, ACA) is not required but would be an advantage.
• IT literate with strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and well organized.
• Ability to work effectively in a time-sensitive environment with defined deadlines.
• Ability to work both within a team and independently.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrates initiative with escalation when required.
• Demonstrates consistency in delivering tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the production of daily, weekly and monthly NAV.
• Perform cash, position and market value reconciliations between HSFT, brokers and clients.
• Identify and investigate break items on reconciliations promptly.
• Escalate fund accounting issues to the Fund Accounting Supervisor.
• Ensure all positions are priced correctly.
• Verify corporate actions for accurate processing.
• Prepare daily profit and loss reports and review for reasonableness.
• Calculate and process income and expense accruals including fee and trading accruals.
• Comply with defined checklists, procedures and controls.
• Assist in the audit process if required.
• Attend and participate in team meetings.
• Collaborate with internal service departments to address fund issues.
• Meet pre-agreed internal and external deadlines.
• Contribute to a client-focused environment and team collaboration.
