Job summary

Adecco is seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineer for a hybrid Dublin-based role with a 1-week-in-office per month cadence. The position is a contract engagement at a daily rate of 400–420 EUR via a limited company.

You will design, develop, and deliver high-value investment and trading applications for financial services, collaborating with product owners and architects. You will lead, mentor, and help drive automation, testing, and best-practice engineering across distributed systems.

Qualifications

• Software engineering experience delivering enterprise-scale applications.
• Expert-level Java development experience.
• Strong experience with: Spring Boot, Oracle Database, Kafka, Kubernetes, AWS (particularly EKS).
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs and microservices.
• Strong knowledge of software architecture and system design principles.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices using tools such as Git, Jenkins, and related technologies.
• Proficiency in modern AI engineering tools and AI-assisted software development practices.

ROLE OVERVIEW

Technical Expertise

• Software engineering experience delivering enterprise-scale applications.
• Expert-level Java development experience.
• Strong experience with: Spring Boot, Oracle Database, Kafka, Kubernetes, AWS (particularly EKS).
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and event-driven architectures.
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs and microservices.

Quality Engineering

• Test automation frameworks including Cucumber and Selenium.
• Test-driven and behaviour-driven development approaches.
• Automated testing across Java, Spring Boot, Angular, TypeScript, Oracle, SOAP and REST services.
• Building highly testable, maintainable software solutions.

Nice to Have

• Experience developing front-end applications using Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar frameworks.
• AWS cloud-native development experience.
• Financial services, trading, brokerage, or capital markets domain knowledge.
