Job summary

HPC Sales Ltd. is seeking a full-time Yard Operative to maintain the yard and operate yard machinery in Arklow, Co. Wicklow. The role involves loading/unloading deliveries, stock handling, and assisting customers with loading vehicles.

Hours are 40 per week (Mon–Sat). Candidates should have a full clean driving license, be motivated, and able to work to deadlines as part of a team with good problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Loading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently.
• Receiving, checking and putting away stock.
• Picking and preparing customer orders for collection or delivery.
• Moving and stacking building materials around the yard.
• Assisting customers with loading their vehicles.
• Operating forklifts and other yard equipment where qualified.
• Keeping the yard clean, tidy and well organised.
• Checking stock and reporting damaged or missing goods.
• Assisting with goods-in and stock control.
• Ensuring materials are stored safely and securely.
• Following all company Health & Safety procedures.
• Working closely with the Warehouse and Trade Counter teams.
• Providing good customer service to customers and delivery drivers.
• Carrying out general yard duties as required by the Branch Manager.
