Job summary

Gourmet Food Parlour in Malahide is seeking an experienced kitchen porter to join our team. This full-time role may include weekends, with good flexibility and a proactive attitude.

You'll work as part of a busy kitchen, assist with deliveries, maintain cleanliness, and support the Head Chef with various duties. Applicants must have a valid work permit for Ireland and be team players.

Qualifications

• Be a team player and adapt to busy, fast-paced environments.
• Maintain HACCP standards and store safety.
• Be flexible with hours including early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights.
• Communicate clearly with team members and follow hygiene guidelines.
• Available to perform various tasks in store during shifts.

We're looking for someone who's excited to come in to work every day and who's ready to develop the team, grow with the brand & tackle challenges. This role is a full time position and may include weekends. Good flexibility is needed.

Skills Required

• Wash crockery and utensils
• Daily clean of kitchen areas
• Deep clean of kitchen equipment
• Keep store areas neat and tidy
• Provide Porter support with deliveries
• Keep waste areas clean and tidy, disposal of packaging, recycling .
• Provide Porter support in all areas controlled by Head Chef
• Accept training to enable safe completion of duties
• Carry out other duties as may reasonably be required from time to time

The Ideal Candidate Must

• Be a team player
• Be calm under pressure & be able to multitask and work to tight deadlines
• Maintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.
• Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or holidays
• Meet store operating policies and standards adhering to HACCP guidelines and store safety and security.
• Engage with and understand other team members through clear and pleasant communication
• Comply within company dress and personal hygiene code that meets HACCP guidelines
• Available to perform many different tasks within the store during each shift
• Have a valid work permit/visa
