Job summary

Londis Castletroy in Limerick is seeking a motivated, customer-focused Full-Time Deli / Sales Assistant to join our team in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will provide excellent service, handle cash, prepare deli products safely, maintain cleanliness, and support stock replenishment and promotions.

The role requires flexibility across weekdays, mornings, evenings, and weekends, with a positive, team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong numerical and cash-handling abilities.
• Flexible to work a variety of shifts including weekends.
• Experience in retail, deli or customer service is an advantage.
• Knowledge of Food Hygiene practices would be beneficial.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and a positive, self-motivated attitude.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience for all customers
• Prepare and serve deli products in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards
• Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the deli and shop floor
• Monitor stock levels and assist with merchandising and stock replenishment
• Receive and store deliveries in line with company procedures
• Promote products and special offers to customers
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the store
