Job summary

Londis Castletroy, Limerick is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Full-Time Deli / Sales Assistant to join our team in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will provide excellent service, prepare deli products, operate the till, keep the store clean, manage stock, and support merchandising while upholding food hygiene standards. Prior retail/deli experience is an advantage, with flexibility for varying shifts.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong numerical and cash-handling abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Good attention to detail and a positive, self-motivated attitude.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative.
• Knowledge of Food Hygiene practices would be beneficial.
• Previous retail, deli, or customer service experience is an advantage.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekdays, mornings, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive shopping experience for all customers
• Prepare and serve deli products in accordance with food safety and hygiene standards
• Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation throughout the deli and shop floor
• Monitor stock levels and assist with merchandising and stock replenishment
• Receive and store deliveries in line with company procedures
• Promote products and special offers to customers
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and health and safety requirements
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure the smooth day-to-day operation of the store
