Job summary

Charles River Development, the FinTech division of State Street, seeks an AVP for Private Markets to drive and deliver on CRPM solutions. You will work with full-stack engineers within an agile scrum team to enhance and maintain multiple Private Markets modules.

The role collaborates with Product Development and Business Analysts to create sustainable software solutions for complex problems, with responsibilities spanning analysis, design, development, testing, and debugging of high-performance

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or a related technical field is required; MS degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in event-driven architectures and cloud-native development.
• Experience with Java, Spring, Angular or React and relational databases.
• Experience with AWS is a plus.

We are actively hiring an AVP for our Private Market’s division as this is an exciting time to join our innovative engineering teams as we are investing in growing out our European presence and leadership to help drive our next phase of growth.

Summary

As an AVP you will be working closely with Product Development, where you will be responsible for defining, driving and delivering on specific aspects of the CRPM solution. You will be working with a team that will consist of full stack engineers supporting the enhancement and maintenance of multiple Private Markets modules, as part of an agile scrum team.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Business Analysts and Product Managers to create simple and sustainable software solutions for complex problems
• Analyze, design, develop, test, and debug large and complex software enhancements and solutions within Charles River’s business and technical problem domains including modifications to core frameworks and other primary facilities critical to system operation
• Direct problem solving for projects or major phases of projects to resolve software technical issues
• Provide troubleshooting on large, mission critical client implementations
• Engage in the agile software development process by adhering to and advancing the CRD scrum methodology, including attending all daily standups, sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives

Education Requirements

• B.S. degree Computer Science or other technical course of study required. MS degree preferred.

Key skills and prior experience

• 7+ years developing event driven architectures, financial services a plus
• Experience in cloud native development using Java, Spring, Angular or React
• Experience in developing observable, operable cloud native software that horizontally scales
• Experience with relational databases (RDBMS)
• Experience with AWS a plus
• Demonstrated problem solving abilities involving multi-tiered, high-performance database applications
• Demonstrated ability to design and develop software solutions to business and technical problems of high complexity
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work well with peers in a collaborative team environment
• Employees are expected to work from the office 4 days a week.
