Job summary

Morgans Fine Fish in Omeath, Co. Louth, is seeking a part-time shop lead for our Factory Fish Shop. You will ensure counters are well displayed, fully stocked, and priced correctly, with strict safety and hygiene practices.

Experience in retail management (fresh food) is preferred; training will be provided for fish knowledge, filleting, and customer guidance. Pay starts at €15 per hour, with on-site parking and in-person work.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in retail management (fresh food, butchery, seafood, or deli environments are a plus).
• Knowledge of fish types, filleting, and seafood preparation is highly preferred (training available).
• Champion for cleanliness, food safety, and organized displays.

Responsibilities

• Ensure fish counters are beautifully displayed, fully stocked, and priced correctly.
• Stock rotation and uphold ultra-fresh seafood quality standards.
• Deliver friendly, knowledgeable service and offer cooking tips or custom cuts; training provided.
• Manage daily opening/closing procedures, cash handling, and strict food safety/hygiene standards.
