Job summary

Keelings is seeking a QA inspector to ensure that all incoming and dispatched produce meets customer specifications and internal procedures. You will inspect at intake, storage, packing, and dispatch points, recording results and facilitating corrective actions as required.

The role requires good English, numeracy, and a strong eye for detail, with flexibility to cover varying shifts. Prior experience in fresh produce and familiarity with inspection equipment are advantageous.

Qualifications

• IT skills and numeracy required.
• Must be physically fit and able to handle manual tasks.
• Good attendance, punctuality, and a strong attention to detail are essential.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Flexibility with working hours is needed for shift coverage.
• Experience with inspection methodologies and test equipment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Inspect all produce on intake, in storage, during packing and on dispatch to meet customer specs.
• Record inspection results and complete quality records as required.
• Conduct destructive testing (where applicable) and flag quarantined product.
• Collaborate with intake and packhouse teams to ensure compliance with procedures and specs.
• Meet KPIs set by QA manager, including accuracy, productivity, and safety.
