Job summary

DP World in Dublin seeks a Business Development Manager to grow the Global Freight Forwarding BOB in Ireland. You will leverage air and ocean freight experience and established contacts to win new business. This is a hybrid role with a permanent contract, requiring travel to the UK and strong hunting capabilities.

You will manage a growing pipeline, hit monthly targets, and collaborate with DP World internal teams to deliver best-in-class service to customers.

Qualifications

• GCSE level or above required.
• Proven track record in sales with at least 3 years in Freight Forwarding.
• Freight Forwarding experience is mandatory.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Manage your Book of Business (BOB) and drive GP growth.
• Develop and execute a personal sales plan and call cycle.
• Build a robust pipeline targeting SME customers.
• Meet or exceed monthly targets and KPIs.
• Adhere to company policies and processes.
• Grow BCO composition through hunting vs farming.
• Conduct market analysis and competitive research locally.
• Support BOB clients with quotes and negotiations.
• Collaborate with DPW network and partner agents.
