Job summary

Solance is building a greenfield, cloud-native banking platform in Dublin. We seek a Staff Engineer reporting to the CTO to lead design and development of a full-suite Banking Service using Java-based, automated cloud tech.

You will own architecture, infrastructure, UX, security, and compliance while shaping engineering culture from day one. You will mentor teams, drive API frameworks and zero-downtime releases, and partner with business stakeholders to align technology with business goals.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in agile software design and AWS cloud development.
• 5+ years in banking, payments, KYC/AML, onboarding, or related areas.
• Expertise in Python, Java and React/Native is a significant plus.
• Extensive experience in deployment, observability, testing and automation.
• Proven track record in automation and using API frameworks.
• Ability to translate business needs into tech requirements and architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of a greenfield, cloud-native banking service.
• Architect, implement, and own end-to-end solution delivery.
• Mentor engineers and collaborate with business stakeholders.
• Ensure security, compliance and robust testing throughout delivery lifecycle.
• Drive API development, zero-downtime releases, and tooling improvements.
