Job summary

Dawn Meats is seeking a reliable Forklift Operative to join our Despatch team at the factory. Based in Ireland, you will handle loading and unloading, movement of product and accurate record-keeping to support production of fresh, frozen and dry goods.

The role is permanent and full-time, with training provided. You will work as part of a team, comply with Health & Safety regulations, and may be required to work weekend shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Forklift license desirable but training provided to the right candidate.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• Interested in future development & progression.
• Computer literate with experience in Email, Database, Spreadsheets and Computerised Management Systems.
• Good Organisational skills.
• Capable of working on own initiative.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – Fluent English is required.
• Enjoy practical and manual work.
• The ability to keep accurate records.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, prioritise and organise their own and others work.
• To be able to work as part of a team.
• Flexible and Willing to Perform Other Tasks as Assigned

Responsibilities

• Offloading/loading of trucks, sending deliveries, documenting, scanning and onward movement of product for correct storage for production for fresh chilled, frozen and dry goods.
• Utilising in-house computer system for movement, stock checking, planning and scanning of product for production as required.
• Help ensure that areas are clean and tidy at all times.
• Monitoring and reporting any damage of site or machinery to your supervisor.
• Must be flexible for weekend work and start times as required.
• Ensure you comply with Health & Safety regulations.
