Job summary

Dawn Meats is seeking a Despatch Operative in Ballyhaunis, Co. Mayo to join the busy production team. You will manage orders, ensure goods are unloaded and loaded to correct locations, and use forklift equipment for picking and packing.

The role operates in a chilled and ambient environment and requires reliability and teamwork. You will be based at our Ballyhaunis facility, supporting timely dispatch, adhering to health and safety standards, and adapting to changing priorities.

Qualifications

• Forklift experience is an advantage but not essential.
• Despatch/Warehouse experience is an advantage but not essential.
• Good communication skills.
• Fluent English with good numeracy and literacy.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Must be physically fit as lifting is required.
• Ability to work as part of the team.

Responsibilities

• Assisting in the overall production and dispatch of customer orders.
• Using fork lift equipment for picking and packing orders.
• Working in a chilled and ambient environment.
• Working efficiently as part of a team.
• Keeping the work area clean and tidy.
• Maintaining high levels of Health and Safety standards.
• Achieving targets and job standards set by the Shift Manager.
• Being adaptable and flexible in your approach to work.
• Performing any reasonable request from Shift Manager.
• Regular repetitive light, medium and heavy lifting.
