ISS Recruitment is recruiting for a Quality Technician at a leading food manufacturing site in Naas, Co. Kildare.

The role focuses on maintaining food safety and quality standards across production, with involvement in HACCP, BRC, audits and supplier quality processes. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Food Science/Technology or related field and at least 1 year in a QA/QC role within food manufacturing, with strong Excel/Word skills and excellent communication and problem-solving

Qualifikationen

• Degree in Food Science, Food Technology or a related discipline preferred.
• Minimum 1 year's experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role, ideally within a food manufacturing environment.
• Good understanding of HACCP principles, food safety legislation and quality management systems.
• Knowledge of BRC standards would be an advantage.

Aufgaben

• Monitor and maintain food safety and quality standards throughout the production process.
• Carry out routine quality checks, inspections and product assessments to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Maintain and update quality documentation, procedures, records and internal specifications.
• Assist in the implementation and ongoing maintenance of HACCP, BRC and other food safety management systems.
• Conduct raw material, in-process and finished product quality checks.
• Coordinate microbiological, chemical and physical testing in line with established schedules.
• Assist with internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory and third-party standards.
• Investigate quality issues, customer complaints and non-conformances, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions.
• Support supplier approval processes, specifications and quality performance monitoring.
• Maintain accurate records relating to product traceability, testing, quality checks and corrective actions.
• Assist with shelf-life testing and product evaluations for chilled and frozen products.
• Work closely with production and maintenance teams to resolve quality-related issues and drive continuous improvement.
• Support the introduction of new products into production, ensuring quality and food safety requirements are met.
