Job summary

Dealz in Clonee is seeking a highly credible Buyer with strong experience leading an FMCG retail category to join our Commercial FMCG Buying team on a 9‑month fixed term contract. The role is hybrid, based at our Clonee offices with flexible home working.

You will own the category, negotiate with suppliers, deliver category strategies, analyse spend, plan ranges and manage critical paths. You’ll work closely with the Senior Buyer and wider commercial teams to maximise sales, margins and customer

Qualifications

• Experienced Buyer from a Retail background with category ownerships.
• Expert negotiator building strong supplier relationships.
• Strong spreadsheet and data analysis capabilities.
• Ability to lead category strategies and drive KPIs.

Responsibilities

• Maximise category performance, drive growth, margins and availability.
• Collaborate with commercial team, operations and suppliers to meet deadlines.
• Identify and develop new range opportunities and robust plans.
• Seek category range and promotional opportunities; resolve supply issues.
• Interpret customer insights and data to respond to market trends.
• Meet suppliers and attend trade fairs to negotiate costs and build relationships.
• Lead development of category strategies including spend analysis and benchmarking.
