Job summary

Applegreen is seeking a Commercial Category Analyst (Own Brand) on a 12-month maternity cover contract to join the Commercial Food team in Ireland. You will own weekly Own Brand performance reporting, monitor KPIs, and support range planning and optimized assortment decisions to drive profitability.

You will work closely with Commercial, Operations and Supply Chain teams, analyse market trends, and develop practical SOPs while delivering insights to senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in commercial/category analysis, merchandising planning or related roles.
• Experience in foodservice, QSR, convenience retail or FMCG is preferred.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills are essential.
• Strong data analysis and interpretation of large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Produce weekly Own Brand performance reports with full interpretation.
• Monitor KPIs: sales, margin, waste, availability and stockholding.
• Lead range planning using sales and product insights to optimise assortment.
• Forecast and distribute products to stores to maximise sales and minimise waste.
• Support cross-functional projects and supplier collaboration.
