Job summary

Down Syndrome Ireland invites qualified Speech & Language Therapists to join our expanding team. You will manage a caseload and contribute to the co-ordination and delivery of the Speech & Language Therapy service across branches in Tipperary, Carlow, Wexford, Cavan/Monaghan, and Longford/Westmeath.

You will collaborate with families, schools and other professionals, delivering direct and indirect therapy. CORU registration, IASLT membership, and a passion for working with people with Down

Qualifications

• Must have a recognised qualification in Speech and Language Therapy.
• Current CORU registration is required.
• Current IASLT membership is required.
• Minimum of one year experience as a Speech & Language Therapist.
• Experience with Down syndrome and/or autism spectrum disorder is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with service users, families, carers and other professionals in goal setting and intervention planning in an efficient and timely manner whilst ensuring a holistic approach.
• Be responsible for assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of intervention programmes for service users.
• Deliver a range of therapeutic models appropriate to the client population.
• Generate and manage documentation in respect of assessments, diagnoses, intervention plans, and clinical notes.
• Be innovative in the use of resources to maintain and enhance service delivery standards.
• Work collaboratively with families, schools and other service providers.
• Maintain standards of service delivery in line with policy, CORU guidelines and relevant legislation.
