Ethos Care in Waterford seeks a friendly Kitchen Assistant to support our Catering Supervisor in delivering nutritious meals in a caring residential setting. You will help ensure residents receive safe, balanced, and appetising food every day while upholding strict hygiene and food safety standards.

Join a supportive team with flexible scheduling, meals provided on duty, and opportunities for training. Prior kitchen or care experience is desirable, and weekend shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Interest in nutritious meals for older people.
• Experience in kitchen or care is desirable.
• Flexible to shifts including weekends.
• High standards of hygiene and food safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation, cooking, and baking.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, HACCP, and food safety.
• Support menu planning and dietary requirements.
• Help with food storage, stock control, and records.
• Engage positively with residents and promote person-centred care.
