Job summary

Spectrum Health is seeking a contracted GP/Locum to support a flexible panel across nursing homes, GP surgeries and remote clinics in Ireland. The role requires a minimum commitment of 20 hours per month and offers diverse clinical settings with remote and in-person care.

Fully registered with the Irish Medical Council and insured, you will deliver high-quality general practice, adapt to changing clinical demands and collaborate with nursing and allied health teams in patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Fully registered with the Irish Medical Council (IMC).
• Professional medical indemnity insurance.
• Minimum 3 years post-registration experience in general practice or community care.
• Comfortable using digital health systems and conducting remote consultations.
• Strong interpersonal and clinical decision-making skills.
• Reliable, self-motivated with a flexible, patient-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide general medical services within nursing home settings.
• Offer locum cover in GP practices and community-based clinics.
• Conduct remote consultations and teleclinic appointments via digital health platforms.
• Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions.
• Work collaboratively with nursing and allied health staff across multiple care settings.
• Provide safe, high-quality care in line with Spectrum Health protocols and national clinical guidelines.
