Job summary

Babes in the Wood Creche, Dublin, is hiring a flexible, experienced Early Years Practitioner to join as a Childcare Assistant (Level 5–9). The role is available on a full-time or part-time basis, with a strong emphasis on delivering high‑quality, safe, and nurturing care for young children.

You will implement the Aistear curriculum, maintain positive relationships with children, colleagues and parents, and ensure compliance with health and safety policies.

Qualifications

• A Childcare Degree Award Level 5 or higher from a recognised body.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a childcare setting.
• Knowledge of the Aistear Curriculum and Siolta Quality Framework.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written).
• Manual Handling and Occupational First Aid certificates would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring the individual needs of children are identified and met to the highest standards.
• Adhering to company policies, procedures and operational practices at all times with particular attention to occupational health and safety.
• Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with children, staff and parents.
