Job summary

ATC Driving Forward in Ireland is seeking a qualified HGV Mechanic to help maintain our fleet in a modern workshop. You will perform maintenance, servicing, and inspections on HGVs, trailers, and vans with strong diagnostic skills.

The role requires good team work, IT reporting capability, and the ability to handle pressure while maintaining reliability. We offer a flexible hybrid schedule, a market-rate salary, and a performance-based bonus.

Qualifications

• Qualified HGV Mechanic with at least 2 years of experience.
• Strong diagnostic abilities and high technical competence.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong IT and reporting skills.
• Experience with MAN, DAF, Mercedes, Volvo, Scania; Krone/Schmitz trailers; Dhollandia tail lifts; and auto‑electrical/telematics systems desirable.
• Excellent timekeeping and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair HGVs, trailers, and vans.
• Perform routine servicing and CVRT preparation.
• 12/13-week inspections.
• Diagnostics and fault finding.

The Role:

Reporting to the Fleet Manager, the Fleet Mechanicis responsible formaintainingATC’s fleet of vehicles and trailers, ensuring safety, compliance, and operational readiness within a modern,state-of-the-artworkshop environment.
