Job summary

Liebherr Container Cranes Ltd. is seeking Fitters on a fixed-term contract to join the Final Assembly team in Killarney, Ireland. The role requires self-motivation, reliability, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining quality and accuracy.

The successful candidate will read assembly drawings, work with hydraulic systems, and perform gear assembly and fabrication tasks. Shift work flexibility is essential, with opportunities for overtime and benefits as listed.

Qualifications

• Reads and understands assembly drawings to ensure accurate builds.
• Knowledge of hydraulic systems and their maintenance/ assembly.
• Performs gear assembly including bearings, seals and coupling alignment.
• Fabricates parts using shears and bending machines.
• Works well in a team and takes initiative when needed.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret assembly drawings to guide manufacturing.
• Support hydraulic systems installation and testing where required.
• Carry out gear assembly, bearings, seals and alignment tasks.
• Fabricate parts using shears and bending equipment as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the company.

Job description

We are currently recruiting for Fitter(s) to join our team on a fixed term contract. Reporting to the Final Assembly Foreman, the ideal candidate will be highly motivated self- starter, dependable and can manage multiple tasks simultaneously. The candidate will have excellent attention to detail and have good communication skills. This position requires flexibility to work shift work.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

• Ability to understand and read assembly drawings
• General knowledge of hydraulic systems.
• General gear assembly-fitting bearings, seals and coupling alignment.
• Fabrication of parts using shears and bending machine.
• Other duties as assigned by the company from time to time.

Qualifications, Requirements & Experience

• A qualified Fitter.
• Self-motivated with good organisational capabilities.
• Ability to work as part of a team and to use own initiative.

Previous Experience In a Similar Role Is Essential

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must be available to work 06:30-15:00/15:00 - 23:30.
