Job summary

Yadimen Consultancy Ltd. seeks a senior FIS ALS Techno-Functional Consultant to support a major bank lending platform modernization in Dublin. You’ll translate business needs into precise specs for mainframe developers and verify changes against requirements.

This hands-on role covers business/functional analysis, ALS platform assessment, and technical specs. You’ll produce BRDs/FRDs, map data flows, and support releases from design through production, with remote options considered for Europe

Qualifications

• Hands-on FIS ALS experience required; cannot be substituted by general lending experience.
• 8+ years' experience, majority in mortgage or consumer lending—loan servicing, escrow, default management and collections.
• Working knowledge of mainframe stack underpinning ALS: COBOL, JCL, DB2, CICS.
• Specification craft: BRDs, FRDs, functional & technical specs, acceptance criteria, current- and future-state mapping.
• Requirements elicitation through workshops and stakeholder interviews.
• Ability to specify interfaces, batch processing, file-based feeds and data mapping between ALS, core banking and treasury systems.
• SQL and RDBMS concepts sufficient to validate your analysis.
• Experience delivering regulatory and compliance-driven lending changes.
• Experience across Dev, Test, UAT, Pre-Prod, Production and DR.

About the role..

A techno-functional consultant is required to support and evolve a major bank lending platform built on FIS ALS, currently undergoing mainframe modernisation.

The role sits with the ALS development team. You will turn business need into specifications a mainframe developer can build from, and tests that prove the change behaved as specified. The work is inside the system: tracing why an account behaved as it did, identifying the parameter driving it, verifying overnight cycle output, and reconciling what ALS sends downstream against what arrives.

This is a hands-on technical role, not a coordination role.

Essential skills

• Hands-on FIS ALS experience. This is a hard requirement and cannot be substituted by general lending experience.

Desirable

• Prior work on ALS upgrades, patches or FIS vendor releases.
• Experience on a mainframe modernisation or platform migration programme.
