Mitie Ireland is seeking an experienced Fire & Smoke Damper Surveyor to join our Fire Safety Team. You will carry out damper inspections across client sites, recording findings and producing clear reports, while supporting remedial works and fire stopping activities as needed.

The role requires previous damper surveying experience, attention to detail and the ability to work independently, with a willingness to travel nationwide and hold a full driving licence.

Qualifikationen

• Experience inspecting, maintaining or surveying fire and smoke dampers.
• Good understanding of damper operation, compliance and maintenance requirements.
• Experience producing survey reports and recommendations.

Aufgaben

• Carry out fire and smoke damper surveys, inspections and condition assessments.
• Identify defects, non-compliances and maintenance requirements.
• Conduct operational testing of fire and smoke dampers.
• Record findings using digital reporting systems, including photographic evidence.
• Produce clear survey reports and remedial recommendations.
• Liaise with clients, site teams and contractors regarding findings and corrective actions.
• Ensure all works are completed in accordance with relevant standards, regulations and company procedures.
• Assist with damper remedial works where required.
• Support fire stopping inspections and remedial works during quieter periods.

Fire & Smoke Damper Surveyor

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Fire & Smoke Damper Surveyor to join our Fire Safety Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out fire and smoke damper inspections, surveys, testing, reporting and remedial assessments across a range of client sites.

This is primarily a surveying role and applicants must have previous experience of fire and smoke damper maintenance, inspection and compliance assessments. The role will also involve supporting damper remedial works and assisting with fire stopping activities when required.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out fire and smoke damper surveys, inspections and condition assessments.
• Identify defects, non-compliances and maintenance requirements.

Essential Requirements

• Previous experience inspecting, maintaining or surveying fire and smoke dampers.
• Good understanding of damper operation, compliance and maintenance requirements.
• Experience producing survey reports and recommendations.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
• Good communication and client-facing skills.
• Full clean driving licence.
• Willingness to travel nationwide.

Desirable

• Relevant fire and smoke damper qualification or certification.
• Experience of passive fire protection and fire stopping works.
• Safe Pass, Manual Handling and Working at Height certification.
• Experience working in healthcare, commercial or educational environments.
