Job summary

Bennett Construction is seeking a Finishing Foreman to oversee day-to-day finishing works on projects in Dublin City Centre and West Dublin. The role focuses on leading subcontractors, ensuring safety and adherence to programme, and maintaining rigorous site records.

The successful candidate will have 5+ years in a similar senior finishing role on large sites, a construction qualification, and strong communication skills to liaise with the management team and on-site staff.

Qualifications

• 5+ years as General Foreman/Finishing Foreman on large sites.
• Experience finishing hotels or commercial/residential/data centre projects.
• Construction-related trade qualification.
• Strong management of subcontractors.
• Ability to work to tight deadlines.
• Excellent written and spoken communication.

Responsibilities

• Ensure work meets specification and programme.
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors.
• Maintain high safety standards on site.
• Oversee health and safety delivery on site.
• Attend weekly management meetings on site.
• Maintain site diary with labour and subcontractor details.
• Prepare labour allocation for Bennett direct/hired labour.

Region: Dublin City Centre and West Dublin

Position Type: Full-Time

The role
We are seeking experienced, professional Finishing Foremento manage the day to day finishing of our curent projects, one position based in DublinCity Centreand the second in West Dublin.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring work is carried out in accordance with the specification and programme
• Co-ordinating and managing of subcontractors
• Ensuring work is carried out safely to the highest of standards
• Managing health and safety delivery on site
• Attending weekly management team meeting
• Maintaining the site diary – recording manpower levels for each sub-contractor and keeping detailed notes of all site activities
• Compiling labour allocation sheets for Bennett direct and hired labour
• Assisting with the control of plant and equipment on site
• Co-ordinating and managing of subcontractors
• Ensuring work is carried out to the highest of standards
• Dealing with all health and safety issues on site
• Providing clear leadership and direction, to those under your control, while maintaining a professional manner is essential

You will need

• Minimum of 5 years General Foreman / Finishing Foreman experience, preferably within large sites
• Experience in finishing hotels, or at least one of our other key areas - commercial, residential, data centres
• Trade Qualification or Construction related qualification
• Extensive experience in effective management of sub-contractors
• Ability to work to tight deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal skills, strong oral and written communication skills
• PC Skills to complete timesheets, requisitions etc
