Job description

Financial Services Audit Manager, Dublin

A brand new Audit Manager role (experienced Assistant Managers welcome too) has just opened with one of Ireland’s top 10 and fastest-growing firms. Much of its new work comes in through client referrals (which says plenty on its own), and it was recently named one of Ireland’s Best Workplaces.
Now you can have a hand in that growth. You’ll run your own portfolio of funds, private equity and aircraft leasing audits. As the FS audit team grows, you’ll help shape it. Promotion is on merit and the team plans to promote its own Senior Managers next year. That could include you!
The work/life balance is real, and the team means it. Busy season is busy season, but even then you won’t be finishing at 2am, and from June to December things become far more relaxed.
It’s a great time to join. New clients keep coming in, the team expects next year to be its busiest yet, and it’s led by a Partner who is a senior figure in financial services audit, in Ireland and internationally. You’d be joining a team that’s going places, and taking you with it.
What you’ll be doing

  • Managing a portfolio of audits across investment funds, private equity structures, fund management companies and aircraft leasing entities
  • Setting the risk assessment and audit approach on each engagement, with particular focus on investment valuation, NAV, capital activity, carried interest and fee calculations
  • Reviewing your team’s work and the financial statements, so every file meets professional standards and the firm’s quality and risk requirements
  • Acting as the day-to-day contact for fund managers, administrators, depositaries and lessors, and presenting audit findings to boards and audit committees
  • Managing engagement budgets, billing and recoveries, and raising significant technical or delivery matters with the Directors early
  • Managing and developing Seniors and Associates
  • Keeping up with regulatory and technical developments in Irish funds and aircraft leasing, and supporting the Directors on proposals as the practice grows
About you
  • ACA, ACCA, CA, CPA or CA(SA) qualified
  • Currently an Audit Manager, or an Assistant Manager with 2+ years at that level running your own portfolio, at a Big Four or Top 10 firm
  • Irish asset management, funds or aircraft leasing client experience
  • Based in Ireland
  • You’re ambitious and ready to make your mark
