Job summary

Pontoon is seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Senior Consultant to support the Ireland Financial Reporting team on a fixed-term contract. Start: 1 December 2026, End: 7 May 2027. Location: Limerick or Dublin. Pay: hourly rate via PAYE.

The role focuses on financial statement review, accounting and regulatory developments, technical reporting advice, audit liaison and implementing best practices across the department.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in fund administration or asset management.
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting requirements.

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Financial Reporting Senior Consultant to support the Ireland Financial Reporting team on a fixed-term contract.

The role will focus on financial statement review, accounting and regulatory developments, technical reporting advice, audit liaison and the implementation of best practice across the department.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and support the delivery of financial statements in line with accounting and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and interpret changes to accounting standards and regulations.
• Act as a key contact for external audit firms and support the resolution of technical issues.
• Provide guidance on complex and non-routine financial reporting matters.
• Identify and implement best practice across Financial Reporting teams and outsourced locations.
• Identify training needs and support technical training and knowledge sharing.
• Liaise with Compliance and other internal stakeholders as required.
• Support client servicing, new business opportunities and client due diligence presentations.
• Represent Financial Reporting at relevant industry forums.

Experience & Skills

• Proven experience within fund administration, asset management, securities operations or financial services audit.
• Financial reporting experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounting and financial reporting requirements.
• Experience working with external auditors.
• Strong leadership, communication and presentation skills.
• Excellent client-service and stakeholder-management skills.
• Strong problem-solving and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to motivate, influence and work effectively across teams.
