Job summary

Barden is recruiting a permanent Financial Controller to own the site’s commercial and financial performance, including costs, margins and investment appraisal for the manufacturing operation in Ireland.

You will lead budgeting, rolling forecasts and cash flow tracking, build financial models for new projects, and develop KPI reporting for operational management and the Group, working closely with engineers and plant managers.

Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant with ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
  • Hands-on finance experience at a plant, factory or manufacturing site.
  • Strong FP&A skills and ability to model plant operations.
  • Direct communicator, comfortable partnering with operational teams.

Barden have been engaged by a fast growing company to help recruit a Financial Controller on a permanent basis.


The Financial Controller will own the commercial and financial picture of the site - what it earns, what it costs to run, and whether the next investment stacks up.


Key responsibilities:


  • Own the site's commercial and financial performance - costs, margins, and the drivers behind them.

  • Lead budgeting, rolling forecasts and cash flow/working capital tracking.

  • Build financial models to appraise new projects and investments, including expansion and other developments.

  • Develop and present KPI reporting to operational management and the wider Group.

  • Partner closely with engineers and plant managers to turn operational data into financial insight.

  • Oversee financial controls, procurement sign-off and month-end/year-end close.


What we're looking for:


  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).

  • Hands-on finance experience at a plant, factory or manufacturing site.

  • Strong FP&A skills and the confidence to build a model of how a plant actually operates

  • A direct communicator, comfortable partnering with operational teams.
