Job summary

Alliedtalent is seeking an experienced Financial Controller for a leading Irish main contractor based in West Dublin. The role reports to the Managing Director and is office-based for the first 3 months with flexible hybrid working thereafter.

The successful candidate will oversee Accounts, Purchasing and Surveying, ensure compliance with Irish construction tax and payroll regimes, and lead month-end processes, cash flow modelling and audits.

Qualifications

• Qualified Accountant with construction sector experience.
• Experience leading finance teams and providing strategic oversight.
• Strong knowledge of Irish construction tax and compliance.
• Proven track record in budgeting, forecasting and reporting.
• Ability to work with senior leadership and MD.

Responsibilities

• Provide guidance and secondary oversight of the Accounts, Purchasing and Surveying departments
• Ensure compliance with RCT, VAT Reverse Charge, Revenue Payroll Reporting, CWPS, Auto-enrolment and PRSAs
• Lead monthly commercial meetings and review WIP reports against tender budgets
• Maintain rolling short and medium-term cash flow models and manage credit control
• Prepare quarterly management accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet, Order Book)
• Lead audit preparation

On behalf of an established Irish Main Contractor with a turnover exceeding €30M, we are recruiting an experienced Financial Controller.

Based in West Dublin and reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a full-time role, office-based for the first 3 months with flexible hybrid working thereafter. A very competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package is on offer.
