Societe Generale Securities Services (SGSS) in Dublin seeks a Financial Accountant for a 24-month VIE assignment, reporting to the Head of Finance. The role includes applying accounting principles to prepare financial reports for head office and for regulatory bodies, and supporting audits.

Ideal candidates hold a Master in maths, business or finance, possess excellent Excel and analytical skills, and are fluent in English.

Formación

• Graduate with a Master degree from Business/Engineering School or University with a specialization in maths, business or finance
• Excellent Excel skills and strong numeric/analytical abilities
• Fluent English and good written/spoken communication skills
• Ability to work in a team or independently to meet deadlines
• Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to a fast-growing environment
• Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Financial Reporting Standards
• Experience with finance/accounting software applications and statutory regulations

Responsabilidades

• Compile and analyse financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts and document business transactions.
• Prepare monthly closing pack with financial statements, reconciliation files and variance analysis.
• Communicate financial reporting information to head office and the Central Bank before deadlines.
• Monitor intercompany invoicing and aged debtors.
• Prepare and file tax computations.
• Analyse budgets, revenue and expenditure trends and enforce cost control.
• Resolve accounting discrepancies and support audits.
• Interact with auditors and participate in finance-related projects.
