CREGG in Oranmore, Galway seeks aFully qualified Financial Accountant to join the finance team in a permanent role. Experience in manufacturing and budgeting, with strong costing, forecasting and process improvement, is essential.

The successful candidate will report to the Head of Finance, drive financial accuracy and partner with production teams to optimise operations. Manufacturing ERP experience, particularly SAP, is required.

Formación

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• 2+ years post-qualification experience in manufacturing/production.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with manufacturing ERP systems (SAP).
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with a proactive, commercially focused approach.
• Strong communication and collaboration across multiple departments.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement and optimise financial workflows and internal controls across the manufacturing operation.
• Streamline financial reporting processes to reduce month-end closing times and improve data accuracy.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and collaborate with production teams to implement corrective financial measures.
• Manage costing methodologies, including standard costing and variance analysis.
• Analyze monthly material, labour and overhead variances, providing actionable insights to plant management.
• Oversee inventory valuation, obsolescence provisions and the annual physical stocktake process.
• Contribute to the annual budgeting process and rolling forecasts for manufacturing operations.
• Participate in finance-led projects, including ERP system upgrades and process automation.
• Investigate financial discrepancies and proactively recommend structured, data-driven solutions.

Financial Accountant

CREGG are seeking a fully qualified Financial Accountant to join our client’s finance team in Oranmore, Galway. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity reporting to the Head of Finance, suited to an experienced accountant with a strong background in manufacturing or production environments. The successful candidate will play a key role in financial reporting, costing, budgeting, forecasting and continuous improvement, helping to drive financial accuracy, operational efficiency and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple departments.
